- Thanks fellas! As you can see, we're still a work in progress.
@ Ruggo, Jean & THXjay - If you'd like to remove any of the comments we made here as we discussed the details of opening the blog, I won't mind.
@ Ruggo & Jean - We sort of swung the doors open here, please feel free to leave any welcome comments now that friends and visitors will be stopping by.
It's my honor and pleasure to have you here with me at Franklynot!
@ Isbum - I cannot beleive it, I was just finishing the covers of my last compilation and go to my mail box and it was many message and now understand why. I am Happy and honoured to be with you and all the friends at franklynot, Well it's great.
@ Sorei & Jim - Many thanks for your whishes. It is a big Surprise to see it's open, isbum don't tell ma anything for today, what a lovely suite of Easter Eggs.
@ All - Well why not I will post my first message here, The part of this message are in my Post "Musical Score" I will use some of this part here.
It is Important that all of you put yours own Compilations , No covers! No Problem we find the way to make one, They are not proffessional Covers! Who take care of that, It is our house from all of us, with the music we love just sharing and made your own compil for the love of music.
And Now let's play the Music we waiting after you. Welcome Home Friends.
I am Not Finish :) I have a Request! I am Busy to my other compilation " The Great Bible Score" and I would like to find some tracks, from this kind of movies only tracks, But Not The great Films as Ben-Hur, King of Kings, Sodom etc... because we all have these films. But they are others very interesting to made a two CD compil. Thanks in advance and hope to see soon.
@ Ruggo & Jean - I have only made four compilations that weren't Franklynot Projects. I plan them all the time, but they haven't gotten past the "writing notes and making track lists" stage.
However, I have uploaded the ones I finished and will post them here soon.
I will give you separate links for the covers so they are easier to post.
Hopefully, I will inspire other people to contribute to this new blog.
@Ruggo & Jean - I am so happy you guys have opened your own shop here at Franklynot and I wish you both great success. Looking forward to seeing what you guys do next. Ruggo what a perfect outlet to find those elusive "dancing girls". I wish you good hunting. :):):)
@isbum - Thank you for being the gracious host that you are. Two shops opening in the span of a week!! Great success to all!
I have never met Jean. Yet, from day-one when we first communicated over one of my compilations and he offered to do the artwork, I knew I had found a kindred soul amongst all the other similar souls that Isbum has brought together.
I have always had a weakness for compilations. As Jean pointed out, "sometime it is too much to hear a complete CD from the same film."
I believe I mentioned somewhere in the notes of the series of suites I did of Bernard Herrmann soundtracks that many times complete CDs of soundtracks contain music which is more transitional than descriptive, and by selecting tracks for a compilation or even for a suite from a single film, we have the opportunity to (so-to-speak) cut to the chase and just get the really good stuff together in one place.
Nothing wrong with complete soundtracks. They are still the foundation of interest, but a good compilation can be a buffet of fantastic enjoyments.
I am most pleased and honored to be part of the titular head of this shop, but I can guarantee you it is Isbum, THXjay and that master-blogger, Jean who will really keep the doors open. Hopefully, I can stock a few shelves.
Jean & Ruggo... Really great site. Thanks for putting in the time to post all of the initial entries. Absolutely great compilations. Here's hoping this shop is totally successful.
Thank you Mel, Luckymike, southview, and of course ruggo for all the encouragment and your kind words.
That's right when I got the first compilation of ruggo I was in love with the music on it, and I said why not me and I follow ruggo in is taste to making some, and now we are there. I sincerely hope than many of our friends will made some. Give us your links and if you don't have any covers no matter , we can always ask to THXjay to make one, he's the best designer I ever see, well you see everybody here are ready.
@ Ruggo & Jean - Here are my compilation contributions to your shop. I am aware that these may look a bit out-of-place here, but it's my hope that others will see them and contribute their own.
These are now several years old, so my covers prove what a beginner I was at using the graphic tools at my disposal.
Here we go...
This tribute to Percy Faith compiles my favorite tracks from his '70's era records, when the man loosened-up and embraced his inner "funky".
I've left some questions regarding "Rozsa: A Tribute To A Music Man" in it's comments. There seems to a couple of missing tracks. Great job though, very impressed.
Not much in the way of pretty artwork, but here is a compilation I put together a couple of years ago. I call it "Geroge Fenton - Titles & Themes". It's not the complete score portfolio of Mr. Fenton, but it is a nice representation of his work. Two discs @320.
@ Southview212 & All - If you have self-made compilations and would like better covers, please don't be shy! Just type in a clear track list (track title, title of the movie, composer and time) and Jean or THXjay (Tony?) will be happy to help.
@ Jean - Are you also getting messages from octognproplex in your email?
While getting comments on each submission is fine with me, I think problems like broken files, missing tracks & dead links would be better if they were addressed here.
Have a thought on this, and let me know if you have any opinions.
@ Isbum - Of course I agree with you, The problems are much better if they are posted here and also for everything about compilation. Also I Reply to the post of Javier , because he got some very good idea , but I have to reply him at Filmscorium. It's better if this one was posted here.
Yes I receive the mail Comment from octagonproplex, I would like to answer him But I cannot until ruggo find out what's happen with Rozsa . Ruggo working very hard to this Rozsa Compil , it could be that maybe he forget some Tracks. This could happen with the great stock of music in a compil.
And to not Forget a big Thanks to southview212 For his Compillation about George Fenton. I am sure this must be a very, very Good One.
HEAR YE, HEAR YE! If someone has the time and the know-how, could you please make my Fenton compilation a really nice front and back artwork presentation. It would be greatly appreciated.
@ Isbum - Get ready for my next compilation...it's Horner, 6 discs...end titles of every commerically issued score he composed from 1980 thru 2006. Uploading Disc 4 now. It's truly comprehensive. It will need better artwork than the generic ones I threw together a couple of years ago.
I've been a little remiss in not providing a warm and hearty welcome to Ruggo & Jean. So here it is... G'DAY! Having tasted and savored so much of their great work already, I look forward to more dollops of tasty treats.
Not sure if I will be able to contribute too much, although I have had in mind (for quite some time now) a compilation or five of songs from the movies, not commonly heard outside of the film. Will see what we can do along these lines.
Anyhow, here's cheers to Ruggo & Jean, live long and prosper \/
@ Tony - The Fenton covers are GREAT!! Thanks so very much.
@ Ruggo - Cureently uploading the last Horner CD. When complete, I'll be posting the entire 6 discs. As you, I am a huge Horner fan. I think he really has his act together when it comes to composing End Titles...all will be able to hear shortly.
This compilation is a labor of love. Here is the 6 disc James Horner compilation I made about three years ago. It contains the end titles to all of the Horner scores that were released commercially, from 1980 (Battle Beyond the Stars) to 2006 (All the King's Men). All of the score titles are in order, by movie release date. My source for the scores was Film Score Monthly, Vol.6#6, Vol.7#1 and Vol.9#2. All of the source music was taken from the actual score CD's. All of the music presented here is at 320 mp3.
By request for Isbum, here's my "Italian Blend" three-part compilation of suites for unreleased Italian horror and sleaze music. This was originally posted on my blog back in '06 but has been MIA for years. A couple of the titles have since been released on CD but I've left 'em here for posterity anyway. (Tracks are 320 mixture of mono and stereo depending on the source.) Enjoy!

Just to add to the story behind 7 Black Notes compilations.
When these were originally posted, they generated a tidal wave of positive comments from fans of the films. To this day, I've never witnessed a response like that at any other blog. It's truly gruesome seeing them unleashed again! ;)
@ isbum, Southview212 , 7 Black Notes, Thanks Thousand thanks I'm on work for posting, I download everything and Busy with the one of Southview I post the project of the James Horner front for the blog and of course I will put the links with his artwork track list , It is no Links now, I’m waiting to know if southview like them or not. I can Added on the front cover " Southview Compilation" I think it would be good. Don't be worried I'm working. Thanks to ruggo to added the missing tracks, on is Great Rozsa.
Thank you also for the quick response on the blog and for posting here about the compilation. Your all great please continue to post your work, much to do I love that :))
I already had posted a message congradulating Jean and Ruggo, but somehow the message appears not to have successfully posted. Shucks.
My opinion is that such a project could not have been given to a more efficient couple than Jean and Ruggo. Both are established and able collection masters, but more importantly their taste of combining the right choices has always has impressed me a great deal.
Also credits should go to isbum for hosting this particular house, which I'm certain will soon become one of the most popular drawers in isbumland!
So, without a doubt imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and thus this addition to Jean's very succesful series of "Actor and Music". Covers and selections by yours truly..

Been a big fan of your work for years, ever since i found your blog referred to in numerous other blogs. Seems everyone recognizes greatness. Thanks for the Italian collection, my Tuscan ancestors would appreciate it.
@Southview212
I have been a big Horner fanatic ever since "Glory." I can't wait to download this magnificent set. It shall occupy a place of honor at my and The Pusherman's (that's one of my two cats) nightly concert while reading in bed.
The Pusherman is a such a devout lover of Rimski-Korsakov that I swear he must be a distant reincarnation. Can't wait until he gets introduced to James Horner...he may want to change loyalties.

a salute y'all to another great shop/blog opening! :)
Great Horner-comp, I actually was planning on doing the exact same thing soon... thx for the helping hand! :D
I have just assembled this compilation of music by Gabriel Yared spanning 26 years of his career in 26 tracks from 26 movies (for scoredaddy) and thought it might fit here as well. Bitrates range from 320 to 192, but I tried to apply an overall mix to the tracks and a seperate tracklist is included - unfortunately no covers (my photoshopping skills suck), but maybe you enjoy the collection all the same.
Gabriel Yared - The Music of Gabriel Yared (1980 - 2006) http://rapidshare.com/files/222992099/Gabriel_Yared.rar
@ Parzival - Thank you to put your wonderful Compil here too. I'm just comeback home and see your message and download your work. I'm happy to find My favorite track in your compil, "City of Angels" I never find a complete soundtrack of this one. For sure scoredaddy will be happy.
To all - Yesterday was definately an off day for me. My Mom passed away last night (it was expected) and my wife is laid-up in the hospital, recovering from a knee replacement. Needless to say, I really couldn't get too much sleep last night. To keep my mind off personal things, I decided to build another compilation, from scratch. Here is the results of my labor. This is a 2 CD compilation of Titles & Themes composed by Trevor Jones. I compiled CD's without any order. If the tracks sounded nice together, that's where I placed them on the CD's. Everything is @320 and there is a tracklist with each CD. If someone would like to build appropriate artwork, it would be welcomed.
@ - Southview I'm so sorry and soo sad to hear this hard moment on your life, expected or not it is very hard to lose someone we love. Please from the deep of my heart accept my deeply condolence, my thoughts and payer goes to your mom today.
I think this is not the time or the moment to speek about Music, But many thank for your Compil.
@ Jean - Thank you for the nice comments, I definate appreciate it. Listening to music is always appropriate for me. It makes life's problems a little easier to cope with.
To All - Trevor Jones, CD 2, Track 10 is not good. Here is a replacement track. Sorry for the inconvience.
Please accept my sincerest condolences on the loss of your mother.
I wish your wife a speedy and complete recovery from her surgery.
I know this will be of little comfort to you at this sad time, but it seems that quite a few of us in the Franklynot community have been losing our mothers in the past few months, myself included.
Be strong and courageous. Know that she is in a better place.
@ All - I hate having to leave this exciting new blog just now. I was really enjoying being a part of helping to get the new contributions covers and posted. May I suggest that THXjay, Jean or Filmpac do a little friendly "reaching out" to Dom1. He really enjoys making custom covers and seems to be a great guy. I'd do it, but I'm unplugging today.
More than any of the other shops, this one has a great team behind it. I look forward to being a part of it when I return. Cheers!
To all.... Thank you everyone for your kind words and thoughts. Everything in my life is now getting back to normal. Hopefully I'll have some neat things to share with all of you in the upcoming days, weeks and months.

I went with a lot of untraditional choices this time around, just to keep things interesting and spontaneous. It ranges from the fun, boisterous, sprawling themes to the quirky and weird comedy beats, the rich and epic romantic melodies, then right back into the ol' traditional tried-and-true, bold and brassy! Hope you enjoy! ;)
THXJay, I hope you don't mind cranking out a couple more covers for me. This is great fun! Thanks!
@Budarc - I've redone the covers to include volume 2.
I spent ages designing a completely different set but wasn't happy with them (they were a bit too much) so I started from scratch for a third time and this is what I came up with....
Thanks, dude! With each new volume, it gets progressively weaker (you can't help it), but I like to think there are still a few tricks up my sleeve. For the next one, I'm pulling out my secret weapon: my Danny Elfman arsenal! ;)
01) First Knight - Jerry Goldsmith 02) Clash of the Titans - Laurence Rosenthal 03) The Sword and the Sorcerer - David Whitaker 04) Flesh + Blood - Basil Poledouris 05) Excalibur - Trevor Jones 06) Krull - James Horner 07) Hercules: The Legendary Journeys - Joseph LoDuca 08) Xena: Warrior Princess - Joseph LoDuca 09) Cutthroat Island - John Debney 10) Around the World in 80 Days - Trevor Jones 11) The Final Countdown - John Scott 12) Battle Beyond the Stars - James Horner 13) The Last Starfighter - Craig Safan 14) The Boy Who Could Fly - Bruce Broughton 15) The NeverEnding Story - Klaus Doldinger 16_ The Pagemaster - James Horner 17) Harry Potter & The Sorcerer's Stone - John Williams 18) King Kong - James Newton Howard 19) The Edge - Jerry Goldsmith 20) Terminator 2: Judgment Day - Brad Fiedel 21) Total Recall - Jerry Goldsmith 22) Starship Troopers - Basil Poledouris 23) Air Force One - Jerry Goldsmith 24) Independence Day - David Arnold
(Special thanks go to Southview212 for contributing 7 of these wonderful tracks!)
I went all out on this one. It'll take me a while to recover. ;) "Amazing! Thrilling! Fantastic!" (or ATF, for short) represents some of my All-Time Favorites in fantasy, science-fiction, and traditional adventure flicks. You better hold on to your butts! ;)
I just post today the ones of Burdac and another one. Whoa! It's a big day. Many Thanks of both of you for these great compilation.
I am confused because I really love the design and covers from THXjay they are so wonderful and so professionals, But I am crazy about the covers in the Style Cinema Cyanide( Personal taste) Great work.
I'm having more fun than a fly in a cow pasture with all this new great music. Or I should say, old great music reformatted to new enjoyment.
Can't wait to dig into the Adventure series (although don't know if it's appropriate for bedtime...maybe a road trip).
Gonna get me a sip of Cyanide also...looks like yummee stuff.
@southview212
I'm about halfway through the James Horner collection and am gaining a greater and greater appreciation for the depth and breadth of this fantastic composer. An extra thank you for your great work on putting it together.
Keep 'em coming. Can never have too many compilations.
Someone who liked my "Ultimate Adventure" mixes asked if I could make a compilation of dramatic themes as well. As heartwrenching a thing as it was to consider at the time, it was actually a cathartic process. It was also incredibly difficult to limit myself to an 80 minute time-space (so future volumes will be forthcoming), but this is what I came up with on my first try (I apologize for what appears to be the sprawling nature of the tracks at first glance).
1) Forrest Gump (Alan Silvestri) 2) Patch Adams (Marc Shaiman) 3) Awakenings (Randy Newman) 4) My Life (John Barry) 5) Dances With Wolves (John Barry) 6) The Legend of 1900 (Ennio Morricone) 7) Dead Poets Society (Maurice Jarre) 8) Mr. Holland's Opus (Michael Kamen) 9) August Rush (Mark Mancina) 10) American Beauty (Thomas Newman) 11) The Shawshank Redemption (Thomas Newman) 12) Cast Away (Alan Silvestri) 13) Deep Impact (James Horner) 14) Contact (Alan Silvestri) 15) The Man Without A Face (James Horner) 16) Empire of the Sun (John Williams) 17) Schindler's List (John Williams) 18) Saving Private Ryan (John Williams) 19) Glory (James Horner)
Thanks for the Glen Ford collection. He was one of my favorites also.
@budarc
Looking forward to your "In All Seriousness" collection.
I can empathize with your comment regarding assembling such a collection being a cathatic process. I have also discovered that making a compilation frequently satisfies a need to be creative that those of us who have less talent than the original composers possess.
"I have also discovered that making a compilation frequently satisfies a need to be creative that those of us who have less talent than the original composers possess."
Shit, you hit the nail on the head! I think that's exactly the feeling I'm experiencing. A lack of talent, and a need to be creative. :\
After some "behind the scenes" discussion with our beloved Budarc, I put together this compilation. It's Pirate score excerpts. I decided to name it "Swashbucklers, Pirates & Rogues: A Seafaring Adventure". It's @320 with only a tracklist. I hope everyone enjoys this compilation. It was a lot of fun assembling.
@Budarc - I hope these covers are close to the feeling you intended. They're pretty rush jobs so forgive the simple design. I tried to make them look like a set but was limited to finding images that "felt" right, I think the ones used do the job.
The Romance album may be a little dark for some but I hate the "hearts and flowers" covers usually used on these comps :)
@ THXjay - Your Covers Are relly Wonfderful, Marvelous, Much, Much better than any Professionals works, Your imagination and inspiration about the subject are amazing. A big great thanks to a great artist.
@ THXjay - How could it be possible to find something better, of course not, I love them, it is in the spirit of Souuthview compil. That's remember me all your great works on the Crime Lounge, Why did you not post them all at The artwork Dept included all yours from the crime lounge If you don't do it I think I will Re-Open one of my empty blog and post them as THXjay and Is Customise Covers, also I think it could be good to included the dom1 covers too, it could be nice to have a blog only with customise covers. Of course without any download musics. I will think about it.
I wasn't sure about posting these at the Art Dpet as well as here, it seems silly to keep double-posting them.
And I haven't posted all my custom covers from The Crime Lounge for the same reason. The files on my site contain the artwork and as that is the only place you can download my compilations there's no reason to post them elsewhere!
The idea of a separate site just for custom artwork is exactly what I was thinking when I started the original "Artwork Department" but it wasn't very popular so I got together with Isbum & Filmpac and we opened it up as the site you now see :)
Is there any way I can get in touch with you by e-mail? I have another project in mind, but I feel like we should synchronize our efforts (instead of posting separately) if this is to be a lasting partnership. ;) At any rate, you can contact me by the e-mail listed in my profile. Thanks!
@Congratulations to Ruggo and Jean for hosting a "shop" where people can be so creative. Thank you to all for pouring your love into these shares. They are all well worth your time.
@ Ruggo & Jean - GSW got it right! This place is splendid!
Thanks to everyone who has contributed such wonderful compilations!
I've known for a long time about Ruggo's affection for compilations and always wanted to get him in the Frankly family, but it took your efforts, Jean, to make a dynamic duo for the blog.
@ Isbum - A very big Thanks for your kindly words and encouragament for all of us. But we need our Motor Engine, You ! I hope you will be backs very soon, and also your find a good place to stay.
@ Jean - Just in case you were wondering, until I get my computer out of storage, I can't visit you and Jim (you know where). More than that, I miss Lalo & Pinky, my cats. They have been staying with a friend and visiting them would make me an emotional wreck. I know they are OK, but I still miss them. :(
Expect me to rev-up the engine when I get back. :)
@ Isbum - I understand your feeling about your cats, really. Mine Typsy and Flopy are a real part of my life, I love them so much and they both give me her love back. But now first think to you. It's time to be out of trouble my friend.I whish you al the very best.
@ Isbum - Ho! Ho! the corks buried deep in the bottles, this will not be easy my friend , It's my Birthday sathurday, Just give us a good news and I will have one more good reason to drink one more for you. :) take care.
I like your spelling of Sathurday, Jean. If you say it, it sounds like you've already had a good amount to drink. You make me laughter Jean! I need it so good! What a joy you are!
While getting some Australian scores out to Jean, I came up with an idea for another compilation. I decided upon Flight and Aviation. I tried to put together score tracks that kind of fit well amongst themselves. I hope you all enjoy this one, which is @320 with only a tracklist.
I grew up with dogs. It wasn't until late in my life that a cat wandered into my consciousness and now I am on my second set of two.
Tecnically speaking they are named Misty Blue and Bushwacker. I think Misty had an alergy to my dust and was constantly sneezing as a kitten, so got renamed Booger. Cats have always been "push-push" to the kids in the family, so the Bushwacker's named evolved into the Pusherman. He sleeps under the covers with me and thinks he is the reincarnation of Rimsky-Korsakov, which makes for some very interesting concert selections at our nightly soiree.
God bless them, they are precious alter-souls of wonderous friendship.
And continuing with the Australian spirit, this is a 2 CD compilation of Bruce Rowland mini-suites. The 9 scores represented here have all been released commercially. @320.
@ Isbum - Thank you so much my friend, one of the best gift I Ever got it's to have you as a friend.
I was retired, my wife still on work and waiting after something happen, and you where deare. Thank you, Thank you. There is no place enough to said you thank you.
Here On the Birthday we make a wish but only one it's possible, I will make this one, I whish you find a good place to living in peace.
@ Ruggo - The Jerry Goldsmith tribute is truly a wonder to behold! Very happy to see you've selected many of my personal favorite tracks throughout this collection.
I read the Comment again and see this compilation from our nice friend southview, It was no covers, I made one, by this way they can be downloaded same as others because I'm sure some don't read the comments. If they are not Good I will remove them.
@ Ruggo - The Goldsmith Chronicles..What a labor of love...THANKS! Impressively great work, and very time consuming. The effort is definately appreciated.
@ Southview - Many Thanks to appreciate the Covers, I do the best I can. It is because I think it's to bad to see links without any covers in the compil blog, and your music is very appreciate,I love them very much. Some are unknow for me.
Hey THXJay or any of you fine administrators of this blog:
Would you mind updating the links on the first four Ultimate Adventures? I re-uploaded to Rapidshare (I think it has a better shelf-life, plus most people don't have too many problems downloading from there). I also took down the Megaupload links and replaced each volume with some better quality sounding tracks. Also, I fixed a total of 5 lower-quality tracks that were bugging me on Beyond Adventure (Pitfall: The Lost Expedition, Mission Impossible, Hawaii Five-O, Horton Hears A Who! and Gladiator), so consider these the "penultimate" versions of each volume.
Preliminary work on Volume 5 is drawing to a close...I'm going to need your mad skills again soon, Jay... ;)
P.S. Would anyone also mind fixing the spelling on my "A Touch of Romance" collection? Right now it reads "A Touch of Romace." Makes it hard to search for. ;) Hope I'm not asking too much...
I put this compilation together over 10 years ago. It' on two old blue-back, 74 min. CDR's. I call it Classic Film Scores: Action & Adventure. It consists of various tracks from nine different Charles Gerhardt Classic Film Score albums. I also included the original artwork I built along with the CD's. I hope you enjoy it.
@Ruggo and Jean - It has been a while since I popped in here. Lots of wonderful choices. Thank you both for all of your hard work and love of film music.
Also thanks to isbum, budarc, Southview212, 7 Black Notes, THXjay, Tony, Parzival and anyone I missed for your contributions.
@ Jean & Ruggo - We have a new friend in ZeCarlos Western shop who would like a little help getting his compilation posted here in your shop.
He's made a front cover and has a track list, so if you could use these things to finish him a proper back cover, both of us would appreciate your help.
Here's the link with his front cover and track list.
@ Isbum - I post the Covers I'm doing the back in accordance with the front, Please For the Front It's best to have the Size 900 x 900 it is more easy to Go from 900 to 400 than 400 to 900 any way it's done. If you dont agree with this back cover I will remove them. Now Waithing the Link. I like the songs from Italian western. I will thanks For it now.
@ Ruggo - Thank you for your very kind words this touch me very hard, I try to do the best I can, and like to do it. I Love all the peoples who made some compilations, it is so personal, everybody got is own view of a compilation,. You with Chronicles, Rozsa, Bernstein, Herrmann, Over the titles , Overtures. A very great and hard works, Budarc Whit is adventures, Guy Callaway whit the Italian western Songs, 7 Black notes with is Italian Blend, Southview with Flight and Planes and Australia, Isbum with is so artistic covers, and I love mine of Actor and Music Tribute, All so different and so close. In my mind we are all, the soul of the soundtrack music and I think sometime it's better to have one of this compilation than an original one.
I really hope all will continued to made others and to rip her point of view about this wonderful soundtrack compilation music’s.
Your words touch me so hard that I cannot nor find other words to said thank you, and to all of you to follow the spirits of Frankly yes at Ruggo and Jean's Fine house of compilation. Please continued in the same spirit and many thanks to all of you.
Especially to Ruggo who became now an long time friend. And to use the same word so far and so close.
Southwest212 said he was just playing around with some thoughts when he compiled and sent me 11 tracks of patriotic-themed cues from different films.
I thought it was such a great idea, I spent the next couple of hours trying to match his fantastic selections with eleven of my own. What he originally called "Unnamed Patriotic Compilation" has evolved into
THE MOVIES REMEMBER A PATRIOTIC TRIBUTE Various Artists.
Note: If any of the administrators of Ruggo and Jean's Fine House Of Compilations are listening in, I would appreciate your posting this there as i have yet to fibure out how. Sorry, I am still dependant on the kindness of strangers.

Before hour 0, I mean my vacation on the 1st august, I made me 3 suites compilation and one remix for listening in my car. I will share it with you and hope you will like them too, if not, you know the rest… :-)
For me it is another way to recall me the best moment of a movie, and some great moment from the music of composers I like. I called these compilations , “ The secrets from the Sea” “ The Great Battles “ and “They Made the History “ . For this last one I am busy on a second volume after my vacations.
Last Remix I’m Started 2 month earlier and finished today, “Superman Returns” I using 56 tracks for made this one. This time I’m following the chronological history of the movie. About the Covers I will never using covers who can make troubles to our friends isbum, If you like the remix, it is always possible to made one by yourself from the movie, You can find images everywhere.
I wish you a great summer and thank you very much for all your download of my compilations, this surprise me very much and one thanks is not enough ++++++++++++. Back In September.
@ Isbum I receive your message of wishes for my Holiday, thank you very much. I’m going to the sun, not sure the one we have here now will stay any longer. :-)
PS: For the remix I post the same message in the concerned post.
This is some fantastic stuff. I can't wait to hear it. I like the idea of the suites. I know it requires a lot more work than just picking tracks, but it is so worth it.
Thank you ruggo, be sure I will rest, after the Superman I really need to rest, I listen of sure 20 time the score and watching the movie complletely before starting, note the seconds, minutes, to know where and how to cut and to paste, I need to re-recorder them 5 times to make the corrections, well I like the final result. I like very much the movie and also the music, I need to do it. You know me that's my passion.
Have a great month of August and don't work to much.
I am happy you made everything yourself , hundred Bravo. ;)
@Ruggo - So, buddy, are you going to ask Roryseber for his compilation of music by Alan Silvestri and Bob's Favorite Bombasms?
Let's encourage Bob to post his efforts over here. His compilations will get buried in the Filmscorium's daily postings. That would bum me out.
If he needs covers, and hasn't got the knack or want to make some, we can help out somehow.
Love what Gmadrid said...
This is one very entertaining blog. I have visited others with downloads and compilations, but none that quite compares to the quality and breadth of your listings.
Spot on and a great compliment to you and Jean's work here!
Bob's Favorite Bombasms My favorite piece of classical music when I was just a lad was In The Hall of the Mountain King, from Grieg's Peer Gynt Suite. I loved how it started out soft and slow, and got louder and faster. Well, here are some of my favs from the movies:
1. The Ride To Dubno / Taras Bulba / Waxman 2. The Rowing of the Galley Slaves / Ben Hur / Rozsa 3. Main Title / The Killers / Rozsa 4. The Wild Ride / North By Northwest / Herrmann 5. Battle in the Forest / Return of the Jedi / Williams 6. Death Hunt / On Dangerous Ground / Herrmann 7. Overture / Welles Raises Kane / Herrmann 8. Finale / Welles Raises Kane / Herrmann Enjoy! :O)

@ Ruggo - I wasn't sure if this got posted over here, so I transported it to a good home. :)
@ Jean & Ruggo - Well, I offered this movie theme compilation to THXjay for posting at his Crime Lounge, but it appears he doesn't think it fits his blog. So, waste not, want not. :)

Go to the main FranklyYes page and click on the "GSW Archive Sheet" located on the right side of the page. You will find a download link for the sheet in my post.
This updated spread sheet only includes links posted at the main Filmscorium and at the moment only goes through August 2009 but I will have it completely updated soon. For the time being there are thousands of new links to browse.
I have not forgotten you guys with your own specialized shops. I plan to update sheets for your shops as soon as I can. I wanted to start with the one that involved the most work first.
Now you guys head on over, get yourself a copy of the sheet and start downloading like crazy!
I hope this update makes finding what you want a lot easier.
What about the Private Composer Collection 5 - Franz Waxman posted by you some days ago? I have downloaded it but now don't appear in your Ruggo and Jean's House of Fine Compilations. Please inform asap. Thanks in advance for your, always, great help and collaboration. My best regards
Hi ssa, I would like to thank you for your interest of the compilation of all of us.
For the Composers Collection N° 5 it was a misunderstanding. I receive very nicely this one by Witlessd, without any covers, but after posting, He write me very honestly that this one was not a compilation but a bootleg coming from the Soundtrack Library CD 014 of " Miracle in the Rain". That's the reason why I remove them, and I post them to another of our blog. Write me in Private and I will send you an invite to this blog.
Isbum is a very nice friend and I don't want to made him any troubles, very kindly he let some compilations and take some risk just for our pleasure to all of us. I'm just trying to follow isbum idea of compilation made by our self. And it's very important that the name compilation appears to any covers. Maybe I'm wrong for some but I’ll do the best I can, to manage with Isbum and Ruggo this wonderful compilation blog.
Soundtrack Archive link http://www.scorearchive.clicktrackmm.com/waxman.html
Well now I don't have any secrets, now you know the music I love. I put all my favourite tracks from a composer, buy this way I don't need to listen the complete score. We are mad, Buying so much CDs just to made another one "LOL"
When I was a child, before homoginization (the process that makes milk and it's cream to blend), we would receive our milk in bottles.
Now, my mother could have bought a bottle of cream, but instead, she would pour off and save the top layer of cream until she had enough to make whipped cream or some other delight.
You and I both enjoy skimming the cream of genius from the milk of music and saving it for a special treat.
@ ssaster - Thank you very much to noticed me about this error, I am now downloading my own Upload and see what's happend sometime it could be they are some corrupted download, but in anay case I will reup this track and for the future I will reup the complete Album.
Dear ssaster, Yes I download my own Upload and it's correct, the file 12"Virus" as been corrupted, I think I know what's happen, yesterday when I uplaod the N°8 rapidshare was out and starting back one hour later, it could be just on the moment of this track 12? I am very sad that's happen because It's take me much time to made some suite. Please accept for you and the others peoples my apologies for this. Here are the track 12"Virus arranged suite" I reup them and download them back it seems everything is perfect.
I've posted the Crime Mix for you here on the site.
I can't believe the amount of new stuff you've posted since my last visit. I don't know where you find the time and enthusiasm for all that hard work :)
There's been some wonderful cover artwork posted lately, very impressive!
I won't take up anymore of your time. I'm sure you have a compilation to be getting on with ;)
@Ruggo, Jean, et al - I want to say thank you for all the time, effort, and especially the love of music you guys put into each and every compilation. Keep on laying down those tracks.
Was wondering if you might move my 'Italian Western Instrumental Themes' comp in with the others under the westerns tag, so anyone who's interested won't miss a note of my wonderful, important work. ;)
Bring in them little doggies, the round-up welcomes the Westerns. Just give me the links and the track list and if you have artwork (if not okay, we'll rustle some up) and we'll get'er done.
@ Ruggo - I think you misunderstood what Guy was asking. The compilation he's talking about is already posted here, it just doesn't have "Western" tagged on it.
- Sorry, guys, my original post wasn't very clear. My spag instrumentals CD was posted some time ago, but wasn't given the 'Western' tag. Thought it would be good to make it so, and have it in with in my vocal and karoake discs.
I've got several compilations hot on the griddle. They're all sizzling at once, so who knows when they'll be ready, but I was wondering if I could hire the ingenious stylings of a Mr. THXJay for proper presentation purposes? (Oh pretty please?)

@ Jean - Yes! I'm happy you reprinted part of that post!
It was perfect for the opening!
Cheers Jean, you read my mind. :)
@ Isbum- It is not me, I got a good teacher. :)
@ gsw - Thank you! It is a grand week indeed!:)
@ Isbum Thank you for your compilations, it's good to have some more. They will be quicly post.
@ gsw - Many thanks for your wishes, but today I was surprised too, a so fast opening, yes it was a big surprise.
@Good Readers
@ Ruggo & Jean & Isbum
Another day, another wonderful addition to the Franklynot experience. You have built an empire! We all appreciate all you do and share!
My very good friends Jean and Ruggo,
What a wonderful surprise to find that you have opened a new shop here!
Your expertise at compiling wonderful albums is well known at Franklynot.
I wish you both tremendous success here and look forward to popping in every day to wave "Hi!"
All the very best.

EnjoY!
Percy Faith, Herbie Hancock, Giordano, Deodato , Great isbum just love these guys. Thank you.
@ Jean - I'm going to ask 7 Black Notes to share his "Italian Blend" compilations here.
I think he did 3 volumes and they were excellent!
Segroeg has also made some wonderful compilations, so I will provoke him to post here as well.
@ Isbum - Wonderfull Idea and a great Big Thanks.
I've left some questions regarding "Rozsa: A Tribute To A Music Man" in it's comments. There seems to a couple of missing tracks. Great job though, very impressed.
God bless.

Just type in a clear track list
(track title, title of the movie, composer and time) and Jean or THXjay (Tony?) will be happy to help.
@ Jean - Very good reply. Some things take a little time to work out. We'll get it right, because we are working together. :)
@ Isbum - Thanks for the idea about artwork....
HEAR YE, HEAR YE! If someone has the time and the know-how, could you please make my Fenton compilation a really nice front and back artwork presentation. It would be greatly appreciated.
@Octagonproplex
Here's your missing Rozsa tracks # 7-03/7-04'7-05
http://rapidshare.com/files/221873541/Missing_Rozsa_7-03_7-04_7-05.rar
@ Ruggo
Most excellent, thanks very much.
God bless.
@ Southview212 - I've asked Tony if he would like to help you with covers. As you know from visiting I LOVE MY TURNTABLE, he does nice work.
I'm good for nagging people to do things. My covers probably wouldn't look much better than yours.
Stay tuned.
@ Isbum - Thanks for nagging Tony. I definately agree with you, Tony's covers at his blog, I Luv My Turntable, are outstanding.
@ Southview212 - I just had a preview of Tony's covers for the Fenton compilation.
Trust me, you're gonna love it!
@ Southview212 - Careful, the ink might still be a little damp! ;)
Here's Tony's beautiful covers for you!
http://rapidshare.com/files/222200150/Fenton_covers_by_Tony.zip
I've been a little remiss in not providing a warm and hearty welcome to Ruggo & Jean. So here it is... G'DAY! Having tasted and savored so much of their great work already, I look forward to more dollops of tasty treats.
Not sure if I will be able to contribute too much, although I have had in mind (for quite some time now) a compilation or five of songs from the movies, not commonly heard outside of the film. Will see what we can do along these lines.
Anyhow, here's cheers to Ruggo & Jean, live long and prosper \/
@Southview 212 -
Yes, Isbum is a subtle persuader :)
I happy I could provide the covers for you. I hope you like them.
Oh- and a warm welcome to the House!
@southview212
I'm a big Horner fan and will be looking forward to this with eager anticipation.

I hope this meets everyone's expectations as a nice compilation.
The Horner compilation...one score does not appear in the comp...it's Freedom Song. The end titles are not Horner's.

@ Ruggo & Jean -
Just to add to the story behind 7 Black Notes compilations.

@7 Black Notes
Been a big fan of your work for years, ever since i found your blog referred to in numerous other blogs. Seems everyone recognizes greatness. Thanks for the Italian collection, my Tuscan ancestors would appreciate it.
@Southview212
Here's my own little contribution. Feel free to add it to your collection. Thanks.

I'm honoured to see one of my little creations featured here already ;)
I'll try and help out with artwork whenever I can :)
There are some great collections here already and I'm really looking forward to seeing what comes up in future!
See ya soon!
Hello friends,
a salute y'all to another great shop/blog opening!

@ Southview212
Cheers!
I am very sorry to have heard about the passing of your Dear Mother, as well as the difficulty of recovery which your wife is facing now.

To all....
Thank you everyone for your kind words and thoughts. Everything in my life is now getting back to normal. Hopefully I'll have some neat things to share with all of you in the upcoming days, weeks and months.
The link on the main page for Robert Mitchum is for the artwork, not the album itself. I'd fix it if I could, but don't even know where to start.
@ Ruggo - O.K and thanks to noticed for the link . You can go now I fix the link, Sorry.

Ultimate Adventures
I decided to stick close to my original design but include the volume numbers into it!
If you want some plain white background versions for yourself, let me know because I didn't include any in the new uploads.
Hope they are OK!
Future volumes will be easy enough to add as I've saved the template for this design ;)
Thanks, Jay! Looks groovy! :)
@ Budarc - You hit another Home Run with Ultimate Adventure 2....Thanks!
@ THXjay - Really nice artwork for the Ultimate Adventure comps. The updated version definately makes it.
Thanks, dude! With each new volume, it gets progressively weaker (you can't help it), but I like to think there are still a few tricks up my sleeve. For the next one, I'm pulling out my secret weapon: my Danny Elfman arsenal! ;)
@ Budarc - Another Volume...WOW! I can think of a Debney score you haven't represented ("shiver me timbers").
Ay! Cutthroat Island! Good one! :)
THXJay, get your template ready....

@Budarc:
That was quick!
Covers available HERE
Looking forward to this one, you've pulled out a few that I'd forgotten about :)
@Budarc - Here's some small thumbnails of volumes 4&5 for you to embed in the music files (that's if you're doing anymore)
http://rapidshare.com/files/226708651/UA45.rar
Thanks, Jay! Great work as always. :)
The covers for volumes 4 and 5 will come in handy...one day, but not today. I'm taking a break from adventure for a while. ;)
Here's a recent comp I put together you might enjoy, a collection of suspense/mystery tracks with a smooth feel:
Cinema CyanideArtwork here.
@ 7 Black Budarc - Great contributions guys! I can't wait to get back and join in the fun, or even just hear these.
@ ONE & All
I'm having more fun than a fly in a cow pasture with all this new great music. Or I should say, old great music reformatted to new enjoyment.
Can't wait to dig into the Adventure series (although don't know if it's appropriate for bedtime...maybe a road trip).
Gonna get me a sip of Cyanide also...looks like yummee stuff.
@southview212
I'm about halfway through the James Horner collection and am gaining a greater and greater appreciation for the depth and breadth of this fantastic composer. An extra thank you for your great work on putting it together.
Keep 'em coming. Can never have too many compilations.
@ Ruggo - You are more than welcome for the Horner comp. The man does have a pretty good knack for writing main themes and end titles.
IN ALL SERIOUSNESS...
Dramatic Scores Part I
1) Forrest Gump (Alan Silvestri)
2) Patch Adams (Marc Shaiman)
3) Awakenings (Randy Newman)
4) My Life (John Barry)
5) Dances With Wolves (John Barry)
6) The Legend of 1900 (Ennio Morricone)
7) Dead Poets Society (Maurice Jarre)
8) Mr. Holland's Opus (Michael Kamen)
9) August Rush (Mark Mancina)
10) American Beauty (Thomas Newman)
11) The Shawshank Redemption (Thomas Newman)
12) Cast Away (Alan Silvestri)
13) Deep Impact (James Horner)
14) Contact (Alan Silvestri)
15) The Man Without A Face (James Horner)
16) Empire of the Sun (John Williams)
17) Schindler's List (John Williams)
18) Saving Private Ryan (John Williams)
19) Glory (James Horner)
Hope you get something out of it...
@riddim1913
Thanks for the Glen Ford collection. He was one of my favorites also.
@budarc

@ Southview - Ahoy matey! I'll be takin' ye vessel out to sea when I get me flags up. ;)
Thanks for another contribution my friend!
@ Isbum - Really glad to see you back. I truly hope everything is working out better than expected.
Enjoy the scores!
I've added the new Budarc trilogy to the site :)
I guess it's my melancholy personality ;)
@ THXjay - Your Covers Are relly Wonfderful, Marvelous, Much, Much better than any Professionals works, Your imagination and inspiration about the subject are amazing. A big great thanks to a great artist.
PS: Thanks to forget the hearts and flowers :))
Edit- THXjay I forget to thank you for your GB posters I download them all, Sorry to foget it.
Thanks Jean!
Whilst I was working on the Budarc covers I decided I may as well do one for the Southview comp too :)
There are some plain white covers included in his file but I thought something a little more "piratey" was in order :)
Hope you like 'em!
Great fellas! :)
@Jean:
Thanks for all your kind comments :)
@ THXjay - The Pirate covers really kick ass. They are absolutely great! You have the knack...THANKS!
Dude, there's no other word for it. Your covers are beautiful. Better than I could have imagined. I love the cover for Pirates, too! :)
Thank you so much for all the work you put into this, Jay. Your hard work and effort really shows.
Jay,
Is there any way I can get in touch with you by e-mail?
I'm so happy to see you two together here! :)
@ Jean - Typsy & Flopy? Sounds like me during my drinking years! ;)
Hahaha! How adorable Jean!
Keep the corks buried deep in the bottles my friend. ;)
@ Isbum - Ho! Ho! the corks buried deep in the bottles, this will not be easy my friend , It's my Birthday sathurday, Just give us a good news and I will have one more good reason to drink one more for you. :) take care.
@ Jean - My new definition of "drinking buddies" is those who drink "for" me.
Now, I have two.
You and Filmpac. ;)
I hope you all enjoy this one, which is @320 with only a tracklist.
http://rapidshare.com/files/230446278/FlightAndAviation_compilation.rar
Nice one! Glad to see you jumping on board the "compilation" train. Ooh! There's an idea for another one! ;)
@isbum & Jean

@ Ruggo - The Jerry Goldsmith tribute is truly a wonder to behold!
Very happy to see you've selected many of my personal favorite tracks throughout this collection.
I crown you "The King of Anaheim!"
Nice work, thank you :)
I read the Comment again and see this compilation from our nice friend southview, It was no covers, I made one, by this way they can be downloaded same as others because I'm sure some don't read the comments. If they are not Good I will remove them.
@ Jean - DO NOT remove the covers....They are GREAT!!!!
Thank you very much..really nice work.
@ Jean - Ruggo said you would like this. EnjoY! It's terrific!
Here's a delightful compilation from 1996.

@R&J - I've added Budarc's latest volume of Adventures for you :)
@Ruggo - That Goldsmith collection is AWESOME!!! Now I need to find some time and space to download them all :)
Ultimate Adventure 1: http://rapidshare.com/files/240171999/Ultimate_Adventure.rar
Ultimate Adventure 2: http://rapidshare.com/files/240174304/Ultimate_Adventure_2.rar

Thanks a lot!
Is it just me, or did all the links posted above get cut off?
Here, this might work better... (pardon my amateur html)

Thanks again.
@Budarc
All done!
I'll send you the volume 5 covers tomorrow :)
Thanks, man. I thought you'd abandoned me. ;)

Here's the link with his front cover and track list.
http://rapidshare.com/files/248548692/Western_Songs_by_Guy_Callaway_covers.zip
Thanks!
OK. Isbum I'm working on it.
@ Jean - Yes! Simple was the way to go!
The credit goes to Guy Callaway, though. It's his compilation.
I wait for him to give me a new link.
Soon, Jean and thanks for helping us.
My distant friend, Jean, is a genuine treasure in his willingness to help us ALL out with whatever we need.
God bless him with a long life because some of us (myself especially) would be lost without his assistance.
@ Jean - Here is a short compilation of unreleased themes made by my friend, MarkS.

@Ruggo - May I congratulate you for your tremendous effort regarding your Bernstein series. Another excellent Ruggo creation.
@Big Rozsa - Thank you for your Arabian Dances.
@Jean - Hope you feel refreshed when you return.
@Jean
This is some fantastic stuff. I can't wait to hear it. I like the idea of the suites. I know it requires a lot more work than just picking tracks, but it is so worth it.
Bravo! My friend, have a good vacation. And rest.
I am happy you made everything yourself , hundred Bravo. ;)
@Budarc - It's been ages since I visited here and I've just read back through the comments.......
I'm so sorry about those volume 5 covers!
I completely forgot about them mate. I promise I'll get straight onto them in the morning and get them posted here for you.
I don't know what's happening to me, I'm finding it hard to keep up with everything lately.
P.S.
I didn't do them and forget I'd sent them did I?
Just checking!
If not, I'm on it tomorrow :)
Sorry again :(
@Budarc - It's OK, I'm just going mad :)
I see that I did do those covers for you already!
I don't remember doing them but obviously I did :)
That was a long time ago, mate. Where have you been?
Thanks!!!.
Greats Compilations,greats works
FROM Roryseber -
Bob's Favorite Bombasms
My favorite piece of classical music when I was just a lad was In The Hall of the Mountain King, from Grieg's Peer Gynt Suite. I loved how it started out soft and slow, and got louder and faster. Well, here are some of my favs from the movies:
1. The Ride To Dubno / Taras Bulba / Waxman
2. The Rowing of the Galley Slaves / Ben Hur / Rozsa
3. Main Title / The Killers / Rozsa
4. The Wild Ride / North By Northwest / Herrmann
5. Battle in the Forest / Return of the Jedi / Williams
6. Death Hunt / On Dangerous Ground / Herrmann
7. Overture / Welles Raises Kane / Herrmann
8. Finale / Welles Raises Kane / Herrmann
Enjoy! :O)

Happy Birthday Ruggo!
Hi Jean,
What about the Private Composer Collection 5 - Franz Waxman posted by you some days ago?

Hi Jean,

I'm love all your great compilation.
Thanks again for all.
Have a nice weekend
Cheers
I'm taking a few days off more often...Lokk at all the good stuff that gets posted when I'm gone!
Thanks Jean!
Thanks Ruggo,
Well now I don't have any secrets, now you know the music I love. I put all my favourite tracks from a composer, buy this way I don't need to listen the complete score.
We are mad, Buying so much CDs just to made another one "LOL"
Some more are waiting. :-)
@Jean

There's been some wonderful cover artwork posted lately, very impressive!

EnjoY!
@ Ruggo & Jean - Dear friends, I do hope that the re-arranging of FranklyYES has not left you feeling sad or *perish the thought* angry.
Know that this task wasn't easy for me.
I love all of you equally.
My rational in doing this were based on two elements.
1. To honor our blogs focus on film score and soundtrack material.
2. To honor the shops that were created during our formative years. In other words, seniority, using the dates each shop opened.
I knew that the shops for Classical and Jazz would have a hard time maintaining activity in them. The people asked for them and I complied.
For me, the success of every shop relies heavily on the personality and activities of the owners.
(You have this in spades Ruggo!)
We've all seen blog owners abandon their creations. These are the equivalent of ghost towns from gold rush era.
At several points during the past four years, there have been up to thirty or more blogs devoted to film scores.
One element is key to our success, people like you.
I thank you for your understanding on this matter and your participation brings me more joy than words can ever fully express.
isbum
@ Ruggo & Jean - See the post below this one for your Christmas gift.
Ho-Ho-Hope you like it! :)
Amigos,
Was wondering if you might move my 'Italian Western Instrumental Themes' comp in with the others under the westerns tag, so anyone who's interested won't miss a note of my wonderful, important work. ;)
@Guy Callaway
@ Ruggo and Guy - I've just searched for the compilation in question and can't find it under 'Various Composers'
Lordy! What a massive amount of music HERE!!
Seems endless!
Perhaps you should re-post the links for it, Guy.
Wow!
The comment count went up by 4 (actually, 5 after this) in one day!
Yeah, give me links, etc. I'm sort of lost swimming through all our music.
@ Ruggo - If that slave-driver Filmpac would let me take a break from ripping lp's for him, I might be able to get some comp's for this place made! ;)
Love your new avatar, Ruggo!
@isbum
Jeez, my avatar is domiciled on Rapidshare. Wonder why it keeps disappearing?
Duck season at Rapidshare?
I dunno. ;)
RE: Moving my comp.
- Sorry, guys, my original post wasn't very clear. My spag instrumentals CD was posted some time ago, but wasn't given the 'Western' tag.
Thought it would be good to make it so, and have it in with in my vocal and karoake discs.
Is this place still open for business?
I've got several compilations hot on the griddle. They're all sizzling at once, so who knows when they'll be ready, but I was wondering if I could hire the ingenious stylings of a Mr. THXJay for proper presentation purposes? (Oh pretty please?)
Hint: Ultimate Adventure 6
