I really get a kick out of Ira Newborn's music (Naked Gun, etc). Do you have any more? Thanks for posting these.

Glad you enjoyed. I take it you didn't have any problems with Megaupload this time around? ;)

I got my copy of "The Naked Gun" here: http://www.badongo.com/file/13401134

Which other Ira Newborn are you interested in? The only other one I know of is "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" here: http://rapidshare.com/files/211621460/PLANES_TRAINS_AND_AUTOMOBILES-BOOTLEG_SCORE.rar

By the way, did you know Ira Newborn is attached to a "Naked Gun 4"? Yikes...if the last installment was any indication (and the recent horribly unfunny spoofs by David Zucker), the only good thing in it will be Leslie Nielsen...and I can't remember the last time he's been funny. :(

Budarc...no problems with MegaUpload, now...since I signed up for a free account :-).

I was hoping you might have "Naked Gun-The Smell Of Fear", by Ira Newborn. I really like that opening theme. Does Badongo have that??

Did he also compose the theme for "Amazon Women On The Moon"? I know it says Bernstein...but the opening sure sounds like one of Ira's tunes :-). Of course he used the "Police Squad" TV theme for "Naked Gun". Can't remember which came first, though.

Yeah, "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles" was a great film. I have it on DVD :-)

A quick search for the "Amazon Women on the Moon" score yielded nothing, but you're right, it was composed by Newborn. There are also a couple of Newborn tracks on the "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective" soundtrack, but I only have it in a pretty terrible bitrate:

By the way, Police Squad! came first. It bombed as a TV series, but for some reason it did so, so much better on the big screen. I guess you need a screen that large to catch all the sight gags in the background. ;)

Here's the "Amazon Women on the Moon" theme for you. You have no idea what I went through to get this. ;)

I found some custom compilations with Ira Newborn tracks that you might be interested in, including "Planes, Trains," "Sixteen Candles" and "Weird Science." Over at the "Inferno" here: http://theinfernomusiccrypt.blogspot.com/search?q=ira+newborn

I'm thinking that when I'm done with the final installment of "Ultimate Adventure," I might start work on a comedy themes compilation. I'm thinking of calling it "Stop Me If You've Heard This One Before." ;)

Budarc...well, I was able to get all of them except "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles". I guess the RS link for that one is dead (unless you can locate another one for me).

I think a comedy compilation would be really great..I'm sure there are a lot of "off the wall" themes, out there :-)

Someone, on one of my forums, uploaded all of season 1 of "McHale's Navy" (TV series, AVI files). Any chance the theme might be available, somewhere? I think it's called "The McHale's Navy March". I think it's as catchy as the one for "Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C. :-)

Yikes. Now that I think about it, a comedy collection would be a massive undertaking. Think how many great comedy themes there has been!

Anyhow, I found the McHale's Navy theme for you, off the "Television's Greatest Hits Volume 1" album. (Not the greatest quality, but we take what we can get.) If you want Gomer Pyle, it's on Volume 2. ;)

Sorry about the dead link for Planes, Trains and Automobiles. I tried looking for others, but all I came up with was the song album. Here is a custom compilation (from the Inferno Crypt) that mixes all the songs and score from the film:

Budarc...thanks for posting the "Amazon Women" theme, by Ira. You can't miss his "touch" :-)

Budarc..."McHale's Navy" theme was composed by Axel Stordhall, and "Gomer Pyle" by Erle Hagen.

How come there's a label for Basil Poledouris on this album? There is no Basil represented in this one.

budarc said...

Oh wait, there is a Poledouris track on this compilation. I meant to say, why is Ultimate Adventure 1 tagged with this, too?
